Are you planning an holiday in Cambodia? Come and discover with us what are the most beautiful islands and beaches to visit.

The southern coast of Cambodia, has more than 60 pristine tropical islands, immersed in the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand. Easily accessible from the coast of Sihanoukville, Kep and Koh Kong, are mostly unknown to tourism. The Cambodian islands offer deserted beaches fringed with palm trees, small fishing villages reminiscent of Thailand before the tourism boom.

The beaches and islands of Cambodia have often been neglected and overshadowed by those of neighboring Thailand. The southern coast of Cambodia is full of tropical islands that are slowly becoming more popular. Many of these have the charm and the beauty of those of Thailand 20 years ago.
We have chosen five of these. Ecoo to you the most beautiful islands and beaches of Cambodia:

1. Koh Rong, Southwestern Beach

Spiaggia Koh Rong

If you literally want to be the only person on the beach, the place to go is Koh Rong. Quest ‘island is one of the finest in the Gulf of Thailand and has less than 43 kilometers of beach. The best beach is undoubtedly the Southwest Beach with its 5 km of white sand. For snorkelers, this is absolute heaven. Easy to reach, Koh Rong is in fact about two hours by boat from Sihanoukville, and is our proposal number 1 in Cambodia.
Where to stay: There are no hotels in this beach, you can stay only in a tent. However, on the southeast side of the island lies a structure called Paradise Bungalows where to stay.
Getting there: Hire a boat from Sihanoukville, maybe negotiating the price in advance.

2. Sokha Beach, Sihanoukville

Sokha Beach, Sihanoukville

Privately owned Sokha Beach is the best beach in Sihanoukville. white sand that stretches for over a kilometer, with shallow waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
A small part of the beach is still open to the public, but the rest is available for hotel guests, or those who pay a daily ticket, which also includes access to the resort pool.
Privatizing Sokha Beach, certainly it not brought benefits to the local population, in fact you will not find a street vendor who may try to sell them the cold drink or coconut. However, for tourists is certainly an advantage, since they can enjoy this place immaculate relaxing without being disturbed by anyone.
How to get there: From the center of Sihanoukville, via taxi or tuk-tuk headed for the Sokha Beach Resort. Access to the public part of the beach is available from Malibu Beach Bungalows.

3. Koh Tonsay (island of rabbits)

Koh Tonsay

The two palm-fringed beaches have both shallow waters perfect for snorkeling. Here there is nothing else to do all day, apart from pure relaxation, perhaps rocking on a ‘hammock in the company of a cold beer. The electricity generator is only available from 18:00 to 9:00.

Koh Thmei Beach, Parco Nazionale Ream
